Our Mission
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence promotes the effectiveness of the nonprofit sector through leadership and resource development, advocacy and collaboration.
Our History
Since 1991, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence has been serving the Pikes Peak nonprofit community with distinction. With over 200 members, the Center provides training and education services, technical assistance, and ongoing networking and partnering opportunities that connect nonprofits with the region’s funding and business communities. The Center’s wide range of products and services are tailored to meet the needs of a varied nonprofit sector, serving the small grassroots organizations in tandem with the large internationals. Originally part of the Chamber of Commerce as the Chamber Nonprofit Partnership, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence is now an affiliate of Pikes Peak United Way. In 2007, the Center became a replication partner of the nationally acclaimed Standards for Excellence Institute. The Center now offers workshops on the 55 best practices identified in the Standards for Excellence.
