73% of Executive Directors are baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1964). Whether the Executive Director leaves for retirement or other reasons, it is important to be prepared. A careful and considered plan of action ensures that the least possible disruption occurs for the organization and its clients.
A good succession plan clearly sets out the factors to be taken into account and the process to be followed in relation to replacing the person.
