Position Description 

Data Management Technician 

Reports to Executive Director  

Part-time position:  5 to 7 hours per week – preferably on Saturdays 

Requirements:

Fast and accurate typist

Excellent attention to detail

Able to learn and grasp the structure and scope of computer software programs

Able to keep client, donor, and company information confidential

Able to pass background checks

Previous data entry experience preferable 

Position Responsibilities:

            Input client data

            Input donor and volunteer data

            Prepare donor acknowledgments

            Maintain and update group rosters

            Assist in the preparation of statistic reports 

Software (all use the Microsoft platform):

Homeless Management Information System (Internet-based data management)

- Requires special confidentiality training provided by United Way

Membership Plus – Donor and volunteer data management software

Possibly some QuickBooks - Nonprofit edition
