CNE’s strategies, programs, and consulting are set in the framework of the Colorado Nonprofit Association’s Principles & Practices, a guide for best practices and legal requirements for 501(c)3 organizations in Colorado. CNE works in collaboration with our partner to the north to share the guidelines they provide in this valuable resource. CNA’s Principles & Practices provide resources to help nonprofits keep up-to-date on legal compliance, prepare to complete the Form 990, build capacity, and demonstrate transparency.

CNA is our partner to the north. They are Colorado’s statewide membership organization and represent the collective voice of Colorado’s nonprofit sector. They lead and serve the state’s nonprofits, offering programs and resources, like Principles & Practices.
The El Pomar Nonprofit Resource Center is located at the Penrose Library downtown Colorado Springs. They offer free online access to the Foundation Directory online and the Colorado Grants Guide. Their website provides info to many useful resources and information about upcoming free workshops.
Harbor Compliance sets up all types of 501(c) organizations with guaranteed 501(c) approval including charities, foundations, churches, and schools.
The Independent Sector is the leadership network for nonprofits, foundations, and corporations committed to advancing the common good. They convene groups of leaders, promote sound policies, and encourage nonprofits to meet high standards of ethics and accountability.
The National Council of Nonprofits (Council of Nonprofits) is a trusted resource and advocate for America’s charitable nonprofits. They provide info on emerging trends, proven practices, policy updates, and tools and resources for nonprofits across the country.
Nonprofit Finance Fund – Where money meets mission. NFF helps organizations connect money to mission effectively, and supports innovations such as growth capital campaigns, cross-sector economic recovery initiatives and impact investing.
