STANDARDS FOR EXCELLENCE
The Standards for Excellence Institute is a national initiative established to promote the highest standards of ethics, effectiveness, and accountability in nonprofit governance, management, and operations, and to help all nonprofit organizations meet these high benchmarks. The foundation of the Standards for Excellence program is an Ethics & Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector which sets high standards for your board, staff, and volunteers and covers topics in: mission, strategy, leadership, legal compliance and ethics, resource development, and more.
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence is proud to be the only accredited replication partner in the state of Colorado.
As a replication partner, CNE is licensed to utilize all Standards for Excellence program and educational materials and facilitate trainings. Standards for excellence is getting a facelift!
To stay fresh and current with changing trends in the nonprofit sector, the Standards for Excellence Code is experiencing some updates! The framework has been updated into a more streamlined and intuitive outline. While no benchmarks have been removed, several have been added or moved to reflect more recent thinking in nonprofit management.
At CNE, we are engaging our stakeholders, staff, and the Standards for Excellence Institute to ensure we are providing the best resources to YOU. This includes a
n in-depth look into how we offer the program and all its resources. If you have thoughts about our Standards for Excellence program, please feel free to provide feedback. In the meantime, we will continue to ensure the information we provide you is contemporary and relevant. Thanks for your patience!
