Summary
GWICS is dedicated to helping people reach their highest level of personal
and economic independence. With over 900 employees and 20 diverse programs,
GWICS is a service oriented organization focused on maximizing individual
abilities.
Position Overview
The CEO is responsible for providing executive management, direction, and
leadership for GWICS. The CEO works under the general direction of the Board of
Directors with broad latitude for independent action within the general
guidelines and philosophy of GWICS. Compensation is competitive and commensurate
with education and relevant senior level experience.
Desired Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
The position requires excellent moral character, proven skills as a public
speaker before large and small groups, and excellent written skills. The
position also requires the ability to motivate and inspire others, an interest
in and empathy for people with disabilities and disadvantages, and a clear
philosophy of leadership. Work experience involving senior level corporate or
financial management experience is required. Finally, a Bachelor’s degree with a
major in business, economics, management, or other discipline appropriate to
GWICS’s mission is preferred.
