Seventy-three percent of executive directors are baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1964). Whether the executive director leaves for retirement or other reasons, the organization must be prepared. A careful and considered plan of action ensures that the least possible disruption occurs for the organization and its clients.

A good succession plan clearly sets out the factors to be taken into account and the process to be followed in relation to replacing the person. The plan must be tailored to your organization. To provide two perspectives, our workshop will be faciliatied : Trudy Strewler, CASA, and BJ Scott, Peak Vista Community Health Foundation. The training will also feautre a diverse panel: Matt Carpenter, El Pomar Foundation; Randy Scott, FRESC; Aje Sakamoto, Booz Allen Hamilton; Janet Kerr, TESSA to discuss their experiences and FAQs.
